A full year of learning
The Founding Level spans 36 weeks and 180 flexible learning days across communication and language, early literacy, early math and concepts, identity and belonging, movement, guided play, rhythm/music, African animals and places, Black inventors and helpers, little science, routines, social-emotional learning, observation, and family connection.
The parent layer is not an afterthought
The 99-page Parent Homeschool Companion gives families a real implementation system instead of leaving them alone with a child workbook. Each week includes the focus, workbook pages, modeling ideas, safe/material guidance, flexible participation options, and what to notice over time.
Multiple ways to participate count
A child may look, point, reach, move, sign, use AAC, vocalize, speak, pause, or choose not to respond. Luminara Prep is designed around meaningful participation, not forcing one communication style or demanding perfect performance.
Core visual supports are included
The visual pack includes full-size pages for useful words and concepts such as MORE, ALL DONE, AGAIN, HELP, EAT, DRINK, OPEN, WAIT, GO, STOP, MOVE, REST, HAPPY, SAD, MAD, CALM, FAMILY, HOME, HELLO, BYE, LOOK, CHOOSE, PLAY, and LEARN.
Learning approach
Parent-led. Play-based. Inclusive. Culturally affirming. Short lessons, meaningful repetition, real routines, movement, books, visuals, hands-on practice, and observation work together instead of relying on worksheets alone.
Progress without pressure
Families notice patterns in comfort, communication, curiosity, recognition, matching, counting, movement, turn-taking, problem-solving, and increasing independence. Blank days are not failures. Repetition and rest are part of the learning process.
Educational boundaries
This is an educational curriculum, not medical, diagnostic, speech, feeding, occupational, behavioral, or mental-health treatment. Adult supervision is required. Families should continue following any existing professional safety, feeding, mobility, communication, allergy, or access plans.
